Built to be useful — not just impressive on paper.

Unravyl Advisors was founded on a simple observation: most technology cost reduction firms either sell software, take vendor commissions, or operate at engagement scales that exclude all but the largest enterprises. None of those models serve the businesses that need cost reduction most — the companies between $5M and $5B in revenue whose technology spend has outpaced their systems to manage it.

We built Unravyl to be the advisor we wished existed for those companies. Vendor-neutral. Transparent. Hands-on. Available to businesses of all sizes.

Five principles that shape how we work.

The work has to be useful, not just thorough.

A 200-page consulting deliverable that no one reads is worse than a 30-page Clarity Report that drives action. We optimize for what gets implemented, not for what looks impressive.

Cost reduction is connected to everything.

Recurring spend touches finance, IT, operations, procurement, and vendors. It doesn't sit cleanly in any one function. We work across those functions because that's where the real opportunities live.

Advice should not be for sale.

When a firm sells software or takes vendor commissions, the advice is compromised. We make our money from clients, not from vendors. That alignment matters.

Execution is half the work.

Most firms stop at recommendations. We're built to keep going — into negotiation, cleanup, vendor coordination, and renewal management. The savings only matter when they're realized.

Plain English is a discipline.

Every Clarity Report should be readable by finance, IT, and operations stakeholders without translation. If a deliverable needs a glossary, we wrote it wrong.

An Eynstyn company.

Unravyl Advisors is an Eynstyn company and a trade name of Eynstyn Media Consulting. The parent organization provides operational support, governance, and shared infrastructure across its advisory brands. Engagements are contracted under Eynstyn Media Consulting dba Unravyl Advisors.
Meridian was not built in a boardroom. It was built across seventeen years of transformations, restructurings, and quiet conversations with founders and CEOs who wanted a different kind of counsel — sharper, more personal, more accountable.
01 — The Problem

What we saw in the market

The advisory world had drifted toward slide decks and staffing pyramids. Senior partners sold the work; junior analysts delivered it. Clients paid premium fees for diluted thinking. We watched brilliant operators receive recommendations no one had the conviction to defend a year later.

We wanted a firm where the person who pitched the work was the person who did the work — and stayed long enough to be wrong, or right, in public.

02 — The Catalyst

The moment that started it

In late 2021, a client asked a question we couldn’t outsource: ‘Who, specifically, will own this with me?’ That single sentence ended a fifteen-year career inside large firms — and started Meridian the following spring. We built it for exactly that question.
03 — The Principles

What we built the firm around

Three commitments shape every engagement: senior partners do the actual work, recommendations come with the conviction to defend them for three years, and we cap the number of mandates we take so attention is never the constraint. Smaller by design. Deeper by intent.
